Meet the Team @ Sutherland Podiatry Centre

Our Podiatry Team

Narelle Montgomery (Podiatrist)Podiatrist - Narelle Montgomery

Narelle graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology in 1988. Narelle has worked for other private clinics in Burwood, Newcastle and Cronulla and also at St George and Canterbury Hospitals.  She started Narelle Montgomery Podiatry in 1994 and has built up the practice so it is now the biggest in Sutherland and surrounding areas. In 2014 she renamed the practice ‘Sutherland Podiatry Centre’ due to the change from a 1 person practice, to a team of dedicated Podiatry Professionals. She has done multiple lectures in the Shire on foot care for Seniors and Carers. Narelle has been known to travel extensively for conferences and courses to enhance her podiatry skills (and we think her shopping skills!). Currently as well as treating patients at this clinic she also shares her extensive clinical experience at the University of Western Sydney as a Clinical Supervisor. Her areas of interest are Children’s Foot Conditions, Trigger Point Therapy, Biomechanics and General Foot care.

Carissa McMahon (Podiatrist)Podiatrist Engadine - Carissa

Carissa graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology in 1993.  After working in her own private practice in Wollongong for six years, she moved overseas and completed her Bachelor of Science (Podiatry Major) at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2001. As you can see she also has travelled to enhance her skills and be an accomplice with Narelle’s shopping expeditions. Her special areas of interest are Paediatrics, Biomechanics, Acupuncture and different problems relating to Diabetic patients.

Scott Kennedy (Podiatrist)Podiatry Engadine - Scott Kennedy

Scott grew up in Sydney and graduated with a Master of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Sydney.  Before joining the team at SPC Scott honed his skills in Sydney’s south-west, particularly in the Macarthur and Camden regions.  He enjoys treating patients from all aspects of podiatry including diabetic assessments, nail surgery and general skin and nail treatments.  He also has a particular interest in surgical cases, sports medicine and trigger point therapy.  In his spare time Scott enjoys watching his beloved Cronulla Sharks, travelling and movies.

Kimberly Love (Podiatrist)

Kimberly joined the Sutherland Podiatry Team in 2015.  Kimberly obtained her Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Sydney and since has been practicing in the Western Sydney area. She has always had a strong passion for sports and a healthy lifestyle leading her to choose a career where she could have a positive influence on people’s health and wellbeing.  Kimberly enjoys all aspects of podiatry with a keen interest in sports podiatry and soft tissue injuries.  She also has a passion for diabetic care and believes that a supportive podiatrist can play a very important role in diabetes management and control.  In Kimberly’s spare time she enjoys shopping, travelling and relaxing at the beach.

Stefan Di Perna (Podiatrist)

Stefan is another graduate from Western Sydney University, with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Podiatry. He has a keen interest in all aspects of podiatry, however, Stefan enjoys dealing with sports related injuries, using Trigger Point Therapy, treating ingrown toenails and general footcare.  In his spare time, Stefan enjoys playing tennis and is currently learning to fly single engine aircrafts.

James Adam (Podiatrist)

James grew up within the Sydney area and graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine from Western Sydney University. He has a keen enthusiasm for all things podiatry but has an energetic passion for ingrown toenails, diabetes management and overall general foot care. In his spare time James enjoys playing guitar, fishing and watching rugby league. His favourite team is the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles but don’t let that deter you from him treating you!

Our Administration Team

Gillian DixonIMG_1553

Gillian joined our team in 2014, and has been dubbed the ‘shopper of the year’ for her fantastic shopping expeditions to Hawaii! All jokes aside, Gillian has had extensive experience in reception in both medical and podiatry clinics, and has been a wonderful asset to our clinic.  She is Head Receptionist at SPC, and is happy to answer any of your questions.

Brittany Ledwell

Brittany joined our team in 2015 to help fill in when other members of the admin team are away.  She is studying Journalism at the University of Technology Sydney and is also helping out with our Social Media campaigns and video production.  When she is not working here in the clinic or studying at uni, she performs with the drama societies at UTS, the University of Sydney and the University of Wollongong.

Jane Guy

Jane, joined us in May 2018, after a ‘short’ retirement after working for 17 years with another Allied Health Professional within the Shire.  When she is not off holidaying or socialising somewhere she can be found in our Reception area, ready to warmly greet you at SPC.

                                                      Katrina Bryan

Katrina joined our fabulous reception team in September 2019 after having a break from her brief ‘retirement’ as well. She has previously worked for another busy podiatry practice in the Shire, so we were grateful when she joined our team with her vast knowledge of podiatry. In her downtime Katrina enjoys going to the movies, so keeps us up to date with what is worth seeing at the cinema!

Jordan Ledwell

Jordan also joined us in 2018, to help us out on our late night clinic on Thursdays. He is currently attending Aquinas College in Menai where he is in Year 12. Jordan helps us with not only reception but also our IT glitches when they occur!

We have HICAPS available in our clinic, which means that our patients can claim from their private health fund straight away
