Meet the Team @ Sutherland Podiatry Centre
Our Sutherland Podiatrists
Narelle Montgomery (Podiatrist)
Narelle graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology in 1988. Narelle has worked for other private clinics in Burwood, Newcastle and Cronulla and also at St George and Canterbury Hospitals. She started Narelle Montgomery Podiatry in 1994 and has built up the practice so it is now the biggest in Sutherland and surrounding areas. In 2014 she renamed the practice ‘Sutherland Podiatry Centre’ due to the change from a 1 person practice, to a team of dedicated Podiatry Professionals. She has done multiple lectures in the Shire on foot care for Seniors and Carers. Narelle has been known to travel extensively for conferences and courses to enhance her podiatry skills (and we think her shopping skills!). Currently as well as treating patients at this clinic she also shares her extensive clinical experience at the University of Western Sydney as a Clinical Supervisor. Her areas of interest are Children’s Foot Conditions, Trigger Point Therapy, Biomechanics and General Foot care.
Carissa McMahon (Podiatrist)
Carissa graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology in 1993. After working in her own private practice in Wollongong for six years, she moved overseas and completed her Bachelor of Science (Podiatry Major) at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2001. As you can see she also has travelled to enhance her skills and be an accomplice with Narelle’s shopping expeditions. Her special areas of interest are Paediatrics, Biomechanics, Acupuncture and different problems relating to Diabetic patients.
Loretta has grown up with the perfect balance of country and city life. She spent her early years growing up in Nowra and then moved to northern Sydney prior to commencing high school. Loretta then chose the country once more to complete her tertiary studies. Loretta graduated from Charles Sturt University, Albury and has been practicing in the Riverina area since. Loretta joined our team in 2014 and she has a special interest in sports medicine, biomechanics and paediatrics. Loretta enjoys playing sports or going to the beach in her spare time and has had many opportunities to travel overseas including a recent trip to Vietnam where she volunteered as a podiatrist in an orphanage for disabled children. Loretta finds great satisfaction in having a patient leave with a smile and enjoys helping make someone’s life just that little bit easier!
Scott Kennedy (Podiatrist)
Scott grew up in Sydney and graduated with a Master of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Sydney. Before joining the team at SPC Scott honed his skills in Sydney’s south-west, particularly in the Macarthur and Camden regions. He enjoys treating patients from all aspects of podiatry including diabetic assessments, nail surgery and general skin and nail treatments. Tim graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Masters of Podiatric Medicine. Kimberly obtained her Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Sydney and since has been practicing in the Western Sydney area. She has always had a strong passion for sports and a healthy lifestyle leading her to choose a career where she could have a positive influence on people’s health and wellbeing. Kimberly enjoys all aspects of podiatry with a keen interest in sports podiatry and soft tissue injuries. She also has a passion for diabetic care and believes that a supportive podiatrist can play a very important role in diabetes management and control. In Kimberly’s spare time she enjoys shopping, travelling and relaxing at the beach.
Our Administration Team
Ruth is our Practice Manager, and heart and soul of SPC. She has been a Practice Manager for 2 very busy Medical Clinics at Chullora and West Ryde, so she is used to dealing with deadlines and stress!! If you have any problems, Ruth is the person to deal with, as she often says ‘ the buck stops with me’!
Gillian joined our team in 2014, and has been dubbed the ‘shopper of the year’ for her fantastic shopping expeditions to Hawaii! All jokes aside, Gillian has had extensive experience in reception in both medical and podiatry clinics, and has been a wonderful asset to our clinic. She is Head Receptionist at SPC, and is happy to answer any of your questions.
Kerry Anne Naab
Kerry Anne is the newest member of our team, originally from the Shire but you’ll notice she has a Canadian accent (we won’t hold that against her). She recently returned from Canada with lots of medical office experience and a high tolerance for cold weather! We’re glad to have her at our front desk. In her spare time you’ll find Kerry Anne at the beach with her dog Riley.
